For those of you who attend Fontbonne University in St. Louis, you've got the last Kris Allen show of 2019 (and one of only two Christmas concerts) on December 6! So you better go to Snowcoming 2019!

Kris has his weirdest opening gig ever, opening for T-Pain at East Carolina University's 2019 spring concert.  I want a duet of Buy U a Drank! The student union is doing a good job of promotion via their Instagram account (with a lot of posts on both stories and the main Instagram feed). According to their IG account, Kris should be on about 5 pm Eastern Time.

Updated: We have gotten a few pictures and some great videos, but no epic duet. What we've got is after the break. Sadly Kris didn't even meet T-Pain, but did catch his show.

Kris opens up for Jesse McCartney at the University of Scranton. Don't tell my youngest kid. She's been trying for two years to get the student activities council at her D3 college to get Jesse for their springfest. Instead they are getting Sammy Adams (a rapper the kids enjoy). (True confession: I'm glad my kids stanned Jesse. I actually like his music. And he also has a current song called Better With You, so I'm hoping for a mash-up or a duel on the Better With Yous.)

Anyway, if you went to grade school ten years ago, the University of Scranton has got the dream lineup for their springfest! I'll put whatever media we get in this post (it's not open to public so don't expect much).

University of Central Arkansas alumnus Kris Allen opens up for Nick Jonas at UCA's spring concert.

Updated 4/26/2019: Looks like it was a great and lively show! This was an actual fax arena show, which is awesome and it's so great to hear the full band in that kind of venue. Some photos and videos (including a fantastic professional one posted by Devon Curry, Kris' drummer), plus a set list and a UCA yearbook page devoted to the show!

Concert: November 10, 2017: Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY

Kris is doing a gig at the University of Eastern Kentucky near Lexington, KY. Anything that comes out of it, I'll add to this post.

So far all we've mostly got are IG stories posted by Cale. I guess that's the story, Cale is using his IG!

Kris is doing a free concert in central Arkansas at the Beebe campus of Arkansas State University. So go! Radio station COOL 104 will be live from the concert site that afternoon starting at 2 pm central before the show.

Another new school year, another college showcase for Kris. He's been a regular at these conventions which showcase possible performers for college student entertainment planning groups. It's paid off in a lot of college gigs for Kris, and hopefully those college gigs have led some of the students in the audiences to check out his music.

Wow, a Kratt concert! (Matt Giraud was Kris' good friend in American Idol season 8 days and is a hometown Kalamazoo boy.)  This should be a fun show for those who go. Matt seems excited and is taking requests.

And it's a total bargain - $10 or only $3.50 if you are a Western Michigan University student. Maybe bring them some Taco Bell as requested in the video above. I do know of one regular video-taker who is going. ;)

It was no Goo Goo Dolls play the historic lawn of a historic university's bicentennial (although how I wish Kris would copy the Goo Goo Dolls who regularly stream their live performances on Facebook), but Kris played Vanderbilt University's homecoming weekend last night.

Kris has another college show, only this college (the University of Delaware) is awesome and opened it up to the general public! So if he busts out another new cover, as he is prone to do at college shows and concerts in smaller cities, we should actually get video this time thanks to our friends Ang and Kira.

Will post set list, media etc here after the show. In the meantime, thoughts and prayers with everyone in Florida right now and this weekend. Hurricane Irma is serious business and I hope everyone from there will be safe.

Kris has a college show scheduled at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois (near the border with Iowa). I think it is intended to be a student event, but don't have firm info on whether the general public can go. Anything we get (and there's normally not much with college shows) will go in this post.

It is time for one of those year-end posts all the blogs do! I thought this year I'd take a look back at some of my favorite Kris performances and memories. On Twitter, I invited you to do the same, and you came through big time with some great photos, videos and tweets! I'll be including them in this post. Not to mention that I actually got in three Kris concerts in person in one year, tying my record for that! (Some of you really put me to shame with how many shows you get to!) Kris goes to the land of the terrapins when the Comfort and Joy Tour stops at this venue on the University of Maryland campus. Not the most convenient venue for people who live in the nation's capital, but some regulars from there (mostly the Maryland-based ones) will be going. (In case you are wondering, I'm not going to this since I saw the tour in Sarasota.)
