10 Years, 1 Night Tour | Kris Allen plays shows in the southeast November 7, 8 and 9

After a break, it's back to the road for Kris Allen, who heads to the Southeast for his next run of shows. Kris plays Shelby, North Carolina on November 7 (Charlotte area), Bluffton, South Carolina on November 8 (Hilton Head area), and returns to Eddie's Attic near Atlanta, Georgia on November 9. He did an interview with Shelby's local paper to promote the shows.

The basic 22 song set list for the tour is in this post. Kris has added Written All Over My Face to that set, and has dropped in a few surprises occasionally (Parachute and Paul Simon). He's also getting brave with doing songs he NEVER does in VIP, like Turn the Pages! Even more awesome, he's occasionally performed a few new songs (More Machine, We Will Change and Whenever You Are Here).

Come back after the shows as I'll put the highlights from the southeastern stops in this post!

Kris Allen returns to play the Firefly music cabin in Blue Ridge, Georgia at a small benefit concert for Big Change, "an awesome social impact accelerator that finds inspired youth with potentially world-changing ideas and helps them bring those ideas to life" according to the event's website. He's played this cabin before (shown in the photo above from their 2016 concert).

Updated 6/2/2019: Jonins is awesome as always and snagged Kris' video of the cabin for us. Pam (@granni9) went to the show and got the set list plus video! New stuff! (6/2: Adding a high quality video of Safe Harbor posted by the event's organizers)  After the break...

Show and List Preview:
The second night of the Letting You In tour takes place in the venerable Atlanta suburban venue, Eddie's Attic. Kris played here before, in 2013. This year's show has been advertised by the venue as a "CD release" party but nothing official is planned on Kris' end. The advertising has seemingly been effective though, because this show has sold out!

Updated: Quiet crowd, list and media wise. Kris cut things back to 13 songs and they requested Heartless so that replaced Monster. Apparently the venue had another act booked after Kris and was shushing folks. Post updated with set list and some videos and photos after the break...

Show and List Preview:
Another college show. I hadn't heard of this college either, and all I know about its locale is that it's in northern Georgia, but my recent foray into Division III recruiting plus doing these college show posts has taught me that there are tons of these small liberal arts colleges and many are quite good! Let's hope this one is enthusiastic for Kris. The opener from last night's UTC show had good things to say about this college.

Show and List Preview:
Heading north from Florida, KAB stops off in the small town of Bremen, GA, west of Atlanta on the Alabama/Georgia border. He's doing a bookstore appearance from 3 to 4 pm, and then the show at 8 pm.

I expect this list to be smaller and not have as much media, as is normal when Kris plays a small town.

Show and List Preview:
Well, this is obviously a college activities board event.  It appears to be a campus version of American Idol. Sometimes college events and lists are awesome. Sometimes they are not. I've added everyone I could find on Facebook to our list, but as always with college shows, we'll get most of our list additions during the event (for once, I will be around). The event is technically open for $7 to those without a student ID and kids are free. Maybe some of you in the the southeast corner of Alabama or the southwest corner of Georgia will go. So bring it Darton State College!

Pre-Show/Event Press and Publicity:

• Event Facebook page

The Show:

And Darton did indeed bring it with some of the funniest and flaily-ist live tweets we've seen in awhile. Although we don't know who won Darton Star yet...although some tweets suggest it was Desmond.

Kris takes the Out Alive tour to the Atlanta area tonight to Decatur, GA and the well-known club Eddie's Attic. Artists such as the Civil Wars, Indigo Girls and Sugarland developed their fanbases at this venue.

There will be two shows tonight, plus a meet and greet before the first show and after the second one. So we should get a lot of good information! No one tweeted which show they were going to, however, so we have one list for both shows.
