10 Years, 1 Night Tour | Kris Allen plays shows in the southeast November 7, 8 and 9
After a break, it's back to the road for Kris Allen, who heads to the Southeast for his next run of shows. Kris plays Shelby, North Carolina on November 7 (Charlotte area), Bluffton, South Carolina on November 8 (Hilton Head area), and returns to Eddie's Attic near Atlanta, Georgia on November 9. He did an interview with Shelby's local paper to promote the shows.
The basic 22 song set list for the tour is in this post. Kris has added Written All Over My Face to that set, and has dropped in a few surprises occasionally (Parachute and Paul Simon). He's also getting brave with doing songs he NEVER does in VIP, like Turn the Pages! Even more awesome, he's occasionally performed a few new songs (More Machine, We Will Change and Whenever You Are Here).
Come back after the shows as I'll put the highlights from the southeastern stops in this post!

College Show | April 23, 2019: Kris Allen opens for T-Pain at ECU's Barestock Spring Concert
East Carolina University
Greenville, NC
April 23, 2019
Kris has his weirdest opening gig ever, opening for T-Pain at East Carolina University's 2019 spring concert. I want a duet of Buy U a Drank! The student union is doing a good job of promotion via their Instagram account (with a lot of posts on both stories and the main Instagram feed). According to their IG account, Kris should be on about 5 pm Eastern Time.
Updated: We have gotten a few pictures and some great videos, but no epic duet. What we've got is after the break. Sadly Kris didn't even meet T-Pain, but did catch his show.

Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's), and so far the crowds have been lively and showing up early to line up. I've got Kris' expected set list in the post; Will post what I can find for Parachute's set list after the show (since it's changing each time).
The tour continues Tuesday night in Carrboro, NC, near Raleigh. Kris did a fantastic show here during the Letting You In tour and the NC fans were awesome about sharing video. Information for this specific show can be found after the break! If you are going tonight, pay attention to local media; my news says that there are some flooding issues in that area today due to all the annoying rain in the mid-Atlantic we're having.
Updated 8/6/2017: Lots of photos but only LLWD videos. The show was packed and so hopefully some more will turn up! What I have found is after the break. Set list confirmed.

The Letting You In Tour finishes up in Charlotte, NC. We always have good lists and live tweeters in North Carolina, and I'm sure they will keep us updated! Kris last played this venue in 2014.
Updated: It's so sad to think this tour is over. It brought many of us a lot of happiness. Thank you Kris Allen and KAB and Max Shafer for a great time, and next time, please don't wait three years to hit us up again in DC or in other major cities! I will be traveling to attend my college reunion at UVA today, but Kris and the band are apparently playing Tarheel nation, with a gig in Carrboro, NC (just west of Chapel Hill, NC (UNC's home) in the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area). Kris last played this area in 2013 for the Out Alive tour.
My weekend travels and reunion mean that I will not update this post until after the weekend. I'll leave the list open longer than usual to compensate for that.
Updated: You can always depend on our North Carolina fans for great media! Several full sets of beautiful videos from the show plus some more! Looks like a great show - if you are an ACC fan, be sure to watch Kris the SEC guy try to identify figure out just which part of Tobacco Road he is on in the banter before Time Will Come...

The No Limits Tour moves to somewhere in North Carolina that I had heard was a casino in the mountains but now I hear it is not. As far as the list goes, I do expect to be adding people as we go tonight so please do refresh from time to time. I hear that the venue may not have great wifi, so the list may be quiet, or maybe not, since our friend @KrisAllen_Info is on it.

Kris heads back south for a show in Asheville, NC. The last time he played here, we got an epic cover of Tom Petty's Breakdown. Tonight's venue describes itself as a "listening room" and says an artist "must have marquee value to play here." Our list is not big, but hopefully it will grow as we get closer to the show (and it seems to be). (Update - This turned out to be one of our best lists of the Horizons Tour - well done, Asheville!)

Throwback Thursday: June 12, 2010: Kris Allen Band performs in Cherokee, NC
Every Thursday we take a look back at Kris Allen's career via video.
So four years ago, Kris and his band spent the month of June 2010 on his first headlining tour. The tour took them across the country and provided some of our fondest memories of the Kris Allen Band live. While touring can take place anytime of the year, there is just something special about a summer tour. So I have to admit, I am disappointed it isn't happening this year.
Why no summer tour? Probably because the album release is looking more likely for August? Not to mention, Big Daddy has gotten himself a summer job with another band playing the Warped tour (which wraps up August 3). And there are those weekly emails with new show announcements from my local music venues. They are all up to announcing Fall shows now and are pretty much the most depressing emails I get. Plus a look at the calendar at the bottom of this page will show you one gig in June, nothing in July, but a number of college gigs in late August and early September. Plus of course Lentil Fest. (Tip for the calendar, click the Agenda setting.)
So don't despair even though I've penned this depressing post. I truly believe there will be a tour. Soon. Hopefully not the Kris Allen version of soon. And we do have a show coming up in June on Kris' birthday, June 21. You can read more about it here, and also learn about all the different birthday plans for Kris being put together by fans. If you are in Ohio or Michigan, you should go to his show if you can!
But oh yeah - this was a Throwback Thursday post. Well, it feels like a lifetime waiting for REAL news about this upcoming album and tour from Kris, so let's go with Lifetime from Cherokee, NC, June 12, 2010:
Enjoy!

Jillette Johnson opening
Kris continues to bring the Out Alive Tour to North Carolina with a stop in the Raleigh suburb of Clayton.
After much wigging out for not much snow yesterday in Asheville, we continue on to more of the same in Raleigh. It should warm up enough though today to not have an effect on the show.
Wondering if we will get as epic a request as Tom Petty's Breakdown was last night! Good job to whoever requested that! And the best news of all for tonight is that Kris will be getting that large, clunky cast off to be replaced with a smaller one.

The Out Alive tour moves into the Tarheel state starting today. You may notice a difference, as we will be moving from one of our biggest, most enthusiastic lists (and crowds) in Vienna, VA to a much smaller list in Asheville, NC. Hopefully, our lack of people on the list is just due to the fact that the rest of the audience is not on Twitter (and only one of the people on his Facebook page for this event was found on Twitter, so maybe so).
Another complicating factor? There's a winter storm warning there for tonight. Asheville is forecasted to get six inches of snow. As of this writing at 10 am on the day of the show, the show is still on, and we will have to see if Asheville can handle its snow like a northern or a southern town. (For the record, I'm from the DC area and six inches of snow is a scary thing to me.)
So it will be an interesting list to watch although maybe not for the best reasons. Update: As of 6:40 no snow yet in Asheville, although it is still forecast. Temperatures are near freezing and it is raining according to the weather twitters that I've added to the list. To work around all this, the venue has moved the start time of the show back to 7:30 EST.
