Concert | Kris Allen plays the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, November 2 and 3, 2019

America Gardens Theatre at Epcot World Showcase
November 2 and 3, 2019

Kris takes a break from the 10 Years 1 Night tour and heads to Disney World in Florida for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. (He's told the meet and greet crowds during the tour he'll be in Disney with the family over Halloween too.)

This is a huge, fall-long, festival that features international food and wines at the various Epcot neighborhoods, paired with concerts by many entertainers. Kris takes his turn on November 2 and 3. There are three shows. Saturday the 2nd, the shows are at 6:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. On Sunday the 3rd, the shows are at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Visit the official site for more information!

Updated November 9 with another great full length video from Epcot plus some more video that's been shared... thank you to all the fans who are passing on these links!

Festival | Kris Allen plays a round at a Bonnaroo stage on June 16, 2019

Sunday, June 16
4:00 PM CDT
Bonnaroo - Live from the Ville Stage (The Barn - Plaza 7)
Manchester, TN

One small frustration I've had as a Kris Allen super fan who's also into lots of other artists and music genres is watching said other artists (including many who are managed by Kris' management) play all these cool festivals. Sadly, Kris doesn't really do many of those and I've never been able to figure out why not.

So I was thrilled to see an announcement pop up that Kris will play a round at Bonnaroo. For those who don't know what that is, it's a fantastic annual music and arts festival in Nashville. While Kris is not one of the main stage performers (on the day he performs, those will include Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Phish and the Lumineers), it's great to see him play a legitimate festival and get that exposure. Kris' performance will be in the Barn at Plaza 7 if you go.

Updated June 20: I've added all the IG stories that the amazing @krisjonin found! After the break...

Festival | March 29, 2019: Kris Allen Plays Tin Pan South Showcase in Nashville

Tin Pan South showcase
Nashville, TN
6:30 PM CDT

Kris is playing the annual Tin Pan South festival in Nashville this Friday, March 29. He'll join his friend from Delta Rae, Eric Holljes and two other singer-songwriters in a showcase sponsored by the Tennessee Entertainment Commission.

In previous Tin Pan South appearances, he's debuted new songs (Waves in 2015 and When All the Stars Have Died in 2018), so it will be interesting to see if he does the same this time. He did tell meet and greet participants during the Christmas tour that new music would be coming out around the end of March, so hopefully!

Updated: No word of any new songs premiered. Partial set lists and some IG videos after the break

Festival: September 29, 2018: Good Vibrations Music Festival, San Antonio, TX

Kris joins his friends in Parachute and Penny and Sparrow to headline Good Vibrations music festival in San Antonio for the benefit of hearing-impaired charitable organizations. The festival is advertised as Deaf accessible.

The full line up is here; Kris will be on from 8 to 9 pm Central Time.

Here's the festival's Instagram (Very active!) and Facebook pages.

Updated 10/3/2018: I'm so sorry for not updating this sooner! Many thanks to the amazing @krisjonin who is so good at collecting and saving all the IG stories! And to Linda (@krismicklin) for the set list and lots of videos too! All of it after the break.

Festival: April 6, 2018: Tin Pan South, Nashville, TN

Tin Pan South performance

Nashville, TN
6:30 PM CDT

Kris plays the Tin Pan South festival for singer-songwriters. This annual festival attracts many name performers. Kris last performed at it in 2015, where he debuted Waves  and the Dames' song Belle Meade Gal (sorry no video of that to link and good gravy, this was three years ago!!).

Anything we get from this year, I'll post here! It would be cool if he did Never in a Million Years with Tony Lucca (since he co-wrote it). It would be even cooler if we got new music!

Updated 4/10/2018: Found the set list and a cool behind the scenes video. Was there a premiere? Maybe? (Confirmed, there was!) After the jump...

Kris joins a three-day festival with a spectacular line-up. Oh, I do wish this had been scheduled in the DC area! Seriously, it's a fantastic line-up of indie pop, folk, americana and country singer-songwriters, and if you are able to get to Memphis, you should go. Be sure to use the hashtag #moonriverfest on social media if you do go.

Updated 4/6/2017: Looks like it was a great crowd and a beautiful day in Memphis. Set list and media after the break, plus a fantastic recap video of the event set in part to Move by Kris...

Bentonville, AR

Opening Acts: Luke Wade and Adam Hambrick

Preview:

Kris is doing a show that is a part of the Bentonville Film Festival. Unfortunately, information is not easy to find for this show as you can see above from the fact I had to screencap Kris' Bands in Town entry for it because there was nothing else to screencap. This article is probably your best resource.

Updated: Very quiet list that initially posted very little and the audience was kind of rude during the show (see the In Time video - I was appalled to be honest). I hope when Kris plays AR again in June that his home state is a little bit more demonstrative in its support for him. Set list and some media after the break...

As many of us in the major east coast cities know, Kris was slated to go through our area with the tour this week. However, the mothership, American Idol, called him home for its final shows (Tuesday April 5 through Thursday April 7), and of course, he had to go! The Charlotte, Washington, Philadelphia and New York City shows were all rescheduled (New York for April 18 and the other three are in June). So what's a guy to do before returning to his mothership? Hit up Napa of course, and this awesome-sounding multi-day wine, food and music festival, featuring performers Kris is friends with such as Jason Castro, Jillette Johnson and the Goo Goo Dolls. Kris will be playing a champagne brunch on Sunday afternoon, and you can get an a la carte ticket to just his portion of the festival (link above).

Updated: While I spent the day on country roads and I-95 taking a kid back to college and battling our way back home with her winter clothes, you guys enjoyed champagne brunch with Kris via Periscope. Thank you as always to awesome Kris fans who share with the fandom! Media after the break...

I was asked if I would cover this festival thing that sprouted up and, reading the description, it does sound like just the thing Kris seems to need to get inspired to do some of the things with his career that I would like to see him do. I like that Charlie Peacock, his Horizons producer, is directing it. Most of it is private, but it does have a free public concert on Thursday, July 30.

I don't know about this one. It seems it has not been promoted on Twitter at all. With a little googling and surfing, I have found some promotion though (linked below). But I've got no one on the list. We'll hope it goes well. I'm much more enthused about his next scheduled event (Tom Petty tribute in Nashville on August 31) which seems more up his alley. For those hoping for a Lil Rounds S8 reunion or a duet with WAR, they are headliners on their own nights and not appearing with Kris. Instead, Alexis Grace from Idol Season 8 is his opening act.

Updated: Dead as I predicted, sadly. Please email krinjalists@gmail.com if you were there and can fill in with set list details or photos. There is some media from a promotional appearance after the break and a few of you found Facebook videos from the show.

Kris is one of the featured performers for this brand new festival! Although, I'll be honest, as a General Hospital and Nashville fan, I'm kind of psyched that Jonathan Jackson is in it too. The other day my work BFF asked me if I thought Lucky was going to stay a long time on GH this time around, and I said, nope, he's got a tour and a show with Kris! (I have to admit, that made her laugh.)

Anyway, this festival looks like a great way to spend a Saturday if you're a fan of good indie Americana, country and/or folk-pop music. The festival is in the Dayton, Ohio metropolitan area. Click the links above for tickets and line-up info. One note: KAB will not be performing with Kris; instead he'll be backed by Donnie Reis' band.

Updated: It was a good show for Kris! I hear It's Always You was a highlight. Unfortunately Jonathan Jackson wasn't as "lucky" as a bad storm suspended his show. Post is updated with set list and media (tons of videos and photo albums) after the break..

This is a big agricultural festival in western Washington State (near the Idaho border; 90 mnutes from Spokane and 6 hours from Seattle according to Kris fan @mylifeback). The event has a lot of support from local community schools and radio. Despite the remote location, we do have a few Kris fans you'll recognize on the list. What will be fun to watch is Kris. He has a gig Friday night in Missouri and there's no easy way to fly from there to this area of Washington State, but his set time is 2:30 in the afternoon. He's going to need the energy that a healthy lentil-based dish can provide!

Throwback Thursday: 7/5/2013: Kris Allen and Band Play the CoastWest Festival, Muskegon, MI

Every Thursday we take a look back at Kris' career via video.

For this Thursday, obviously it's the day before the Fourth of July. And a day before my vacation starts! So we will enjoy a look back at a video of Kris wearing a patriotic tee-shirt while playing a festival on Michigan's coast. Since we just learned his new album, Horizons, is due out next month, in honor of it, we will go with one of its tracks - Young Love (aka the song we all know, love and will continue to refer to as,  because updating gazillions of tags and titles is annoying, Paul Simon).

Enjoy! Have a safe and wonderful Fourth of July!

p.s. No Throwback Thursday post next week since I shall still be on vacation.

Throwback Thursday: June 25, 2011: Kris Allen and Kris Allen Band perform at the ALIVE Festival, Mineral City, Ohio

Every Thursday we take a look back at Kris' career via video.

One show that remains fondly in the heart of many Kris fans is his 2011 appearance at the Alive Christian Music Festival. It may not sound like it, but this is an honest to goodness rock music festival and Kris and band delivered an amazing set for which many fans traveled from afar! They looked fantastic, had a blast with a lively crowd and were so amazing that three years later, fans are reminiscing about how much they enjoyed that show.

So here is a video of their set closer, Come Together! Check out that catwalk!

And for fun, here is the KAB playing some wiffleball before their set:

Finally, for more ALIVE Festival memories, check out:

Enjoy!

p.s. Don't forget that we are putting the final touches on Kris' birthday plans! Make sure you sign the group card tonight by 11 pm Eastern! And if you are going to his 6/21 show in Michigan, PLEASE let me know by tweeting @KrisAllenLists to put you on the live tweet list!

Throwback Thursday and a March Show Preview!

When we don't have a show to track, on Thursdays, we like to take a look back at Kris' career via video.

This month of course, we have shows, just none until Saturday! The big ones of course are three upcoming showcases he has at the famous annual SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. So I thought for throwback Thursday, we'd take a look back at his showcase during the 2013 SXSW Festival with this great video of Better With You from headonfire1105:

Fun! If you want to see more of this show, here's a YouTube playlist.

But looking at the blog posts from last March, not much was going on. Different story this year! Here's the concerts and events you can look forward to being covered this month by KAL (click the links to find out how to attend in person):

March 8 - Private charity performance for fans who purchased an "intimate experience" at Rancho Las Palmas, Palm Springs. (Tickets available for $600 here.)

March 12 - Fleming Artists Showcase - Official SXSW event, Austin, TX (SXSW Badge needed)

March 13 - Heart of Austin, TX - SXSW showcase being sponsored by Sony, various radio stations and other media firms. (RSVP required to attend.)

March 14 - Quantum Collective - an "unofficial SXSW" outdoor concert atop a roof with a fantastic lineup. All ages event! Free RSVP is all that's needed to go. Contest to win VIP passes - Enter here!

March 20 - Kris judges "Darton Star" (a college version of American Idol) at Darton State University in SW Georgia (Need university ID to get in.)

March 29 - Kris plays "Major Event" - the annual spring festival for Juniata College in central Pennsylvania. This is open to the public, with reduced prices for students. Buy tickets here.

After that, he returns to a regular touring schedule in April with a slate of shows the first week of that month. Check his website at krisallenofficial.com or the Kralendar at bottom of this page for more dates/places! And if you are going to any of these events, make sure to let me know @KrisAllenLists or in the comments to add you to the list!
