Christmas Show | Kris Allen comes to light our Christmas Tree in NoVa again on November 15

Tysons Corner Tree Lighting

Tysons Corner, Virginia

November 15, 2019

Free! 6 - 9 PM EST

So true confessions, I didn't go to the local DC area tour stop this year for various reasons. I felt kind of guilty about missing it! Flash forward, I was searching Facebook and local event blogs for some fun and free things to do this month, and I stumbled on this event before the mall announced it! Kris is returning to light up Northern Virginia's nicest mall's Christmas Tree. So I get a Kris show after all!

The photo above is mine from the last time he did this. It was a great way to kick off the holiday and I'm glad he's going to do it again for us. Hopefully the weather will be good, as it is an outdoor event. Hope to see many of you there! It's free, you can take the metro there, and having gone a few times, I can say it is a lot of fun. You can find all the information here. Keep an eye on the mall's IG account too. Last time they had a meet and greet contest.

Updated November 16 with Kira's photos and Eric's video of five songs from the set from this event after the break! Plus bonus review from Mr. KAL who saw Kris for the first time last night.

Updated 4/26/2019: Looks like it was a great and lively show! This was an actual fax arena show, which is awesome and it's so great to hear the full band in that kind of venue. Some photos and videos (including a fantastic professional one posted by Devon Curry, Kris' drummer), plus a set list and a UCA yearbook page devoted to the show!

Festival: April 6, 2018: Tin Pan South, Nashville, TN

Tin Pan South performance

April 6, 2018

The Local

Nashville, TN

6:30 PM CDT

---

Kris plays the Tin Pan South festival for singer-songwriters. This annual festival attracts many name performers. Kris last performed at it in 2015, where he debuted Waves  and the Dames' song Belle Meade Gal (sorry no video of that to link and good gravy, this was three years ago!!).

Anything we get from this year, I'll post here! It would be cool if he did Never in a Million Years with Tony Lucca (since he co-wrote it). It would be even cooler if we got new music!

Updated 4/10/2018: Found the set list and a cool behind the scenes video. Was there a premiere? Maybe? (Confirmed, there was!) After the jump...

Charity Event: February 17, 2018: We AR One, Little Rock, Arkansas

Updated 2/19/18: Listening to the livestreams, Kris sounds like he's in great voice and the band is as tight as ever. Set list and videos after the break. Thank you to papa Allen and Debbi for the streams!

Concert: December 31, 2017: Hershey, PA

Kris and band return to Hershey, PA (first place I ever saw them play back in 2010!) for a free New Year's Eve celebration. Their set will end just before the clock strikes midnight.

Updated 1/5/2018: Happy New Year! Cold but that didn't keep the people of Hershey from turning out and taking quick videos, photos and giving FULL SET LIST (THANK YOU) before frostbite set in! For that they will earn #gavegoodlist. :)

Somethin' About Christmas Tour: December 21, 2017: Tampa, FL

The Attic
Tampa, FL

December 21, 2017

Opening Act: Marie Miller

Kris brings the holiday tour south to Tampa to this intimate venue in Ybor City. If you can get to this show, I would - smallest venue of the tour and it will feel like he's doing a holiday show in your home!  So sorry I wasn't able to make it to this show but a family event kept me from making a trip down to my vacation place near there.

Right now I've got a fantastic interview and some fun photos linked. I just realized from the photo the venue posted that Kris and band basically have gotten to Christmas decorate almost every night this month! No videos yet.

The tour isn't over yet, but Kris makes a quick stop in his current home of Nashville. I bet the kids will come!

Updated 12/20/2017: Not quite at DC or Boston sharing levels yet, but Nashville for once actually did have some media! Some really good pictures and mini-videos. And we did have an attempted streamer who got busted, sadly. But keep it up, Nashville, sharing is caring!

Somethin' About Christmas Tour: December 18, 2017: Chicago, Illinois

I was kind of wondering on the promo for this one since I kept seeing people angsty that Kris isn't playing Chicago on this tour. He is! Link above for tickets! In fact, this show is coming close to a sell out and I have recently seen some promotion from the venue.

Updated 1/1/2018: Chicago is always one of those cities that understands sharing with fellow fans! They're on track for #gavegoodlist. Some nice photos inside and we're getting some good videos too! Please give the videos a like as you watch them! Added a review from Concert Katie too.

After a week off, the tour hits the road for one last week in the south, starting with Kris' original home base in Arkansas.

Updated 12/23/17: I've got some promo linked (thanks to @ISBinLA for finding it!) and a few pictures and mini-IG vand Facebook videos, plus most exciting for me, Kris' manager actually put a picture of the set list, sadly on IG stories, but it's a picture! Plus now Arkansas has finally earned #gavegoodlist thanks to Amanda (Elmo)'s efforts! Her videos are now embedded inside the post.

Ticket and info link - hope to see you there tonight!

Kris and Marie bring the tour to Washington, DC. Marie is from Shenandoah country in Northern Virginia so this will be close to a hometown show for her. And DC is always a great city for Kris. I will be going to this show.

A little promo after the break with the expected set list. As is typical with DC, we'll have a lot of media even before the show starts!

Updated 12/16/2017: What a great show! Don't miss it if it comes to your town. More thoughts to come inside the post. Along with videos and photos! Of course DC will earn #gavegoodlist even if it was a flatter crowd than we normally are - lots going on in our nation's capitol has kind of tampered down the fun after hours in general sadly. I hope Kris knows those of us who came out absolutely loved the show! Check out all our videos and photos after the break!

Somethin' About Christmas Tour: December 6, 2017: Wilmington, DE

After a couple of days up in New England and a couple of days off, Kris, Marie and the band head south to the mid-atlantic, starting with this show in Wilmington, Delaware.

Updated December 8: As of this evening, very little media from this show. Not a surprise. For some reason this area is the weak link for fandom on the east coast. There are a few photos and mini-videos with what was probably the set list. Anyway, moving on to DC which was a very different story!

The Somethin' About Christmas tour got underway in Annapolis, MD and wow, it looks like a great way to celebrate the holidays! A definite festive retro air from the photos and videos. Plus the first live version of Just Like Snow which is a don't miss. And a new Monster mash-up, with the Grinch song. Kris also joined opener Marie Miller to live premiere their duet on her song, Wasting Away.

All of this after the break!
(Updated 12/04/2017 - Much video added including Periscopes of the whole show. )
