Our third new song of the tour! Kris premiered this one, which we'll call Whenever You Are Here in Portland. It was inspired by the movie Coco. A fan in Denver gave us a fantastic video from which we can figure out the lyrics (thanks, Christi)! Kathy (@kheilig) has taken a shot at them, but she advises some of the lines might need a little crowd-sourcing, so please weigh in with your thoughts on the lyrics. Music | Another new song by Kris Allen - Title TBD but we'll call it "We Will Change"
So Kris debuted another new song last night during his show in Novato, CA. Kris doesn't know what he's calling it yet. Until he decides that, I'm calling it We Will Change. Thank you @kheilig for transcribing the lyrics and providing a nice clear video (embedded below). We still need a little help with some of the lines, so give it a listen and let us know what you think!

Music | Kris Allen's new song More Machine
So.... we weren't sure after a few shows of the 10 Years 1 Night tour whether the new song Kris is performing was "More Machine" or "War Machine."
I asked Twitter for help...
You guys always are great! Most people thought it was "More Machine" but A+ to Kathy (@kheilig) who took the time to watch the videos and transcribe the lyrics... it's definitely More Machine! Idol | A look back at Kris Allen in Group 2, 2009 aka the Best Idol Group ever and the one where we get to see him sing Everything
Ten years ago, the best Idol group ever appeared on our TVs. I'm talking about Group 2 of American Idol season 8 of course. This group went on to have four of the top five contestants in Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta and Matt Giraud, and adding in Megan Joy Corkery, five of the top ten. As a whole, it had a lot of favorites, and just winning the three spots from this group was a good predictor of the final outcome. It's an episode I'll rewatch pretty frequently. This just popped up on Twitter! Americana-folk-rock band Delta Rae has been doing a weekly residency in Nashville on Wednesdays with special guests. One of tonight's special guests is Kris. It's only $10 and you get Delta Rae (who are very good), former Kris opener Sean McConnell (love his music!), Josh Jenkins of GRO (a band that Kris toured with in 2010), and Jaden Michaels, plus of course, Kris! Go for it Nashville!

Kris plays the Tin Pan South festival for singer-songwriters. This annual festival attracts many name performers. Kris last performed at it in 2015, where he debuted Waves and the Dames' song Belle Meade Gal (sorry no video of that to link and good gravy, this was three years ago!!).
Anything we get from this year, I'll post here! It would be cool if he did Never in a Million Years with Tony Lucca (since he co-wrote it). It would be even cooler if we got new music!

Kris has another college show, only this college (the University of Delaware) is awesome and opened it up to the general public! So if he busts out another new cover, as he is prone to do at college shows and concerts in smaller cities, we should actually get video this time thanks to our friends Ang and Kira.
Will post set list, media etc here after the show. In the meantime, thoughts and prayers with everyone in Florida right now and this weekend. Hurricane Irma is serious business and I hope everyone from there will be safe.

Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's), and so far the crowds have been lively and showing up early to line up. I've got Kris' expected set list in the post; Will post what I can find for Parachute's set list after the show (since it's changing each time).
The tour continues Sunday night in Charlottesville, VA at a historic venue on the lovely Downtown Mall. I notice the show is sponsored by an excellent local radio station, 106.1 the Corner, who did a fantastic interview with Kris the last time he played C-ville and they told me that they are trying to do an interview related to this show on this Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. Plus Charlottesville is Parachute's hometown, so hoping that the crowd will be extra into this show.
This is the show I'm going to! So for once I will not need set list help. ;P I'm bringing one of my best friends who is not in Kris fandom; curious what she will think. She's into EDM and punk and this will be her first WGWG concert. Have to say she did seem a little reassured about what she's gotten into after she watched a Facebook video of Will from Parachute crowd-surfing. ;P We always have a blast when we go out anyway. (She says she'll help with typical show-sharing duties since acoustic WGWGs don't lend themselves to pogoing.) Plus it's a girlfriend getaway to one of our favorite towns, so we are really looking forward to this!From my years living here, April is definitely the time to visit Charlottesville! Of course, with Kris' visiting, the deluge of rain is forecasted - hoping it won't slow us down too much!

(If you are wondering, I am DC-area but I'm not going to this one; decided to go to Sunday's show in Virginia instead.)

Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's), and so far the crowds have been lively and showing up early to line up. And Cambridge came through with confirmed set list, gorgeous pics, tons of videos and a stream! That, my friends, is how a city earns #gavegoodlist!
