Idol Tour 2018: September 5 and 6: Up to Minnesota and Wisconsin for Kris Allen and the Idols
Kris and the Idols get a little break before heading north. (I'm guessing for Maddie to go home to Iowa since they play South Dakota on Sunday and Minneapolis on Wednesday.) They play some shows in the midwest this week.
September 5: State Theatre, Minneapolis, MN - Nice videos after the break! Minneapolis earns #gavegoodlist!
September 6: The Riverside Theatre, Milwaukee, WI -
Ticket links above. Come back after the shows for coverage! The set list for all Idol tour shows is here.
Updated 9/8/2018 with some Milwaukee videos.

Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. See the Phoenix post for Kris' set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute.
The tour continues Thursday night in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a show at the Fine Line Cafe, which Kris played back in 2010 during his first headlining tour. Get there early if you are going, as fans have been lining up early. Information for this specific show can be found after the break!
Updated 4/14/2017: The crowd certainly sounds enthusiastic in the one IG video that has popped up for Kris (linked after break along with some for Parachute & a nice YouTube of In Time). If you can help confirm his set list for this show, please tweet @KrisAllenLists!

Kris and the band return to this Minneapolis venue, which they last played in 2013. In 2014, they had one of their most successful outings of the Boyce Avenue tour in this city, playing the famous venue, First Avenue.
Updated: While the venue had spotty wifi and that reduced the live tweeting, people were quick to share what they did have! Plus a few intrepid people with good data plans Periscoped some songs and we will get video. Set list and media after the break...

Kris hits Minneapolis tonight! Some regulars on this list! And he will be playing the club that was made famous in the movie Purple Rain. As far as the list goes, I do expect to be adding people as we go tonight so please do refresh from time to time. We do have some hardcore Kris fans there too!
Breaking news: Kris' song Lost will be heard tonight on the CW's Arrow! 8 PM Eastern. You are officially excused from list watching. Make sure to watch and tweet your friends that you're watching @CW_Arrow and can't wait to hear Lost! Also use #KrisAllenArrow. Let's get a little word of mouth going!
Updated: Probably the best show and crowd of the tour!

Throwback Thursday: April 17, 2013: Kris covers "Something" by the Beatles in Minneapolis, MN
Every Thursday we take a look back at Kris' career via video.
This week, I'm feverishly working on my annual project of culling all of Kris' performances that I can find for the year into a YouTube playlist. This year, given that he went on an extensive tour, I am only up through April and I already have four playlists! It's a lot of fun to work on them and look at some of the performances I may not have noticed while bringing you the lists. Especially by spring, there were so many videos of Kris performing that sadly, some of the April shows got a bit overlooked by the fandom at large. One of these was the April 17 show in Minneapolis.
As you know, Kris did a request song each night of the Out Alive tour. In this show, he chose to cover Something by his favorite band, the Beatles. The performance is lovely and there's some pretty funny pre-song banter, as well as Kris apparently imitating a kazoo. Here's a nice video from SheriH for you to enjoy!
As a bonus, I made a quick and dirty mp3 from it - untrimmed - which you are welcome to have. Click here to download.
Look for me to post and tweet out the 2013 Kris Live video playlists over this upcoming week!

The Out Alive Tour heads up to Minneapolis, Minnesota, home of the Replacements and Prince, which ought to give Kris lots of great inspiration for requests!
I just hope we will get video. (Update: We got a lot, good job Minneapolis!) The last three shows have yielded only a few videos. C'mon midwest, step up your game!
That said, in the managing expectations department, a few people on the list for tonight were discussing how they don't normally like to tweet or video during shows yesterday. I completely understand wanting to just kick back and enjoy Kris live - he's an amazing live artist - it's why we all love to follow his events and shows! Hoping they'll at least tweet a pic of the set list or even just the set list after the show.
