10 Years, 1 Night Tour | Kris Allen brings the tour to Indianapolis and Chicago, November 19-20, 2019

After a quick Christmas show in Virginia (thanks, Kris!) and a few days off, it's back to the road for Kris Allen, who heads to Indianapolis on November 19 and Chicago on November 20.

The basic 22 song set list for the tour is in this post. Kris has added Written All Over My Face to that set, and has dropped in a few surprises occasionally (Parachute and Paul Simon). He's also getting brave with doing songs he NEVER does in VIP, like Turn the Pages! Even more awesome, he's occasionally performed a few new songs (More Machine, We Will Change and Whenever You Are Here).

Idol Tour 2018: September 7: Kris Allen and the Idols play the Chicago Area

It's back to the Chicago area for Kris Allen on the Idol tour. The Idol Tour in 2009 played Rosemont, a western suburb. Back in those days, the tour played the Allstate Arena there and the crowd was allowed to be enthusiastic:

I was kind of wondering on the promo for this one since I kept seeing people angsty that Kris isn't playing Chicago on this tour. He is! Link above for tickets! In fact, this show is coming close to a sell out and I have recently seen some promotion from the venue.

Kris has a college show scheduled at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois (near the border with Iowa). I think it is intended to be a student event, but don't have firm info on whether the general public can go. Anything we get (and there's normally not much with college shows) will go in this post.

Preview:
Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's), and so far the crowds have been lively and showing up early to line up. I've got Kris' expected set list in the post; Will post what I can find for Parachute's set list after the show (since it's changing each time).

The tour continues with a sold out show Friday night in Chicago. Information for this specific show can be found after the break!

Kris continues his holiday concerts at malls with this one in Rosemont, a suburb of Chicago near O'Hare airport. I've been surprised that I haven't found many people going, but I do have a good friend (her twitter is locked but she promises to report) and her friends on this list. :)

Updated: This show may have been a victim of a remote location and poor publicity as it wasn't as well attended as it should have been. That's too bad. I suspect things will perk up quite a bit, though, with the next three mall shows as they are east coast, and two of the malls are large and do social media well. Plus it's a big shopping weekend sales-wise. As for this show, my friend and her friends really enjoyed the show and had fun talking to Kris both before and after. We've got some IG videos this AM, a full set list and some good pics this morning, and some videos this evening, so Chicago, those of you who went have earned #gavegoodlist!

Kris plays this small town in the middle of rural Illinois again. Weirdly, he premiered the Horizons tour here. Hopefully, the show being on a Saturday night, and an alternative to his sold out June show in Chicago, will bring in some show-goers!

Show and List Preview:
Kris does his next gig at a college in the outer Chicago suburb of Naperville. Although this was originally booked by Degy and slated for 2014, it was moved to this year and scheduled for the end of May. While that may seem like a bad time to do a college concert, this particular college will still be in class as it doesn't break until June. Also good is that this college is heavily promoting the show via social media to its students. Even better, this particular college show is also available to the general public at a bargain price, so if you are in the Chicago area, you should go! (This may be your only Kris concert this year!)

Our list does indeed include some Kris list regulars, as well as some college students.

The first show of Kris' February tour is tonight in Watseka, IL. Watseka is in central Illinois, a few hours from Chicago. We do have a few Chicagoites on the list however, plus a few others you'll recall from past lists. So the live tweets and videos should happen! It is a full band non-acoustic show and most exciting, Kris has indicated he will be doing some new songs tonight from the album he has been recording in Nashville this year. He also asked for cover suggestions, and today, he posted a video of the KAB practicing I Want You Back by the Jackson 5.
