Kris plays this small town in the middle of rural Illinois again. Weirdly, he premiered the Horizons tour here. Hopefully, the show being on a Saturday night, and an alternative to his sold out June show in Chicago, will bring in some show-goers!

Throwback Thursday: First Performances of the Songs from Horizons

Every Thursday we take a look back at Kris Allen's career via video.

This Thursday, with the imminent release of Kris' new album, Horizons, this Tuesday, August 12 dawning upon us, I thought we'd take a look back at the first time he performed all of the songs on Horizons live. Note, of course, he has not yet performed ALL of Horizons live, but many of the tracks he has been performing for almost a year. (Two of the songs premiered in October 2012!)

We'll use the Amazon UK edition of Horizons for this post, since it's the only one I've seen with bonus tracks. Note that it uses a different order from the US edition. I'm sure hoping the bonus tracks will be added to the US edition. And if you have not made your plans to buy Horizons, do so immediately! It will be available via iTunes, Amazon US, and major US retailers. If you can't afford it, DO NOT PIRATE IT. Instead, check out Kris Allen Fans Unite's awesome gifting effort for someone willing to gift it to you!

Show and List Preview:
The first show of Kris' February tour is tonight in Watseka, IL. Watseka is in central Illinois, a few hours from Chicago. We do have a few Chicagoites on the list however, plus a few others you'll recall from past lists. So the live tweets and videos should happen! It is a full band non-acoustic show and most exciting, Kris has indicated he will be doing some new songs tonight from the album he has been recording in Nashville this year. He also asked for cover suggestions, and today, he posted a video of the KAB practicing I Want You Back by the Jackson 5.
