Congratulations to Ang on winning the Ugly Sweater Contest and to NYC on earning #gavegoodlist by fun live tweeting, sharing tons of video and photos, and just having general holiday good cheer! Not to mention getting TWO set lists! Looks like Kris is taking requests for his solo spotlight so choose wisely people. Heartless is not the move for Christmas, y'know? Idol Tour 2018: August 15 and 16: Kris Allen and the Idols take on the Big Apple!

Kris Allen and the Idols hit New York City today for press! And then play a show in Long Island tomorrow! I think they scheduled that one around Ang's birthday.

I might have to post some Kris idol tour 2009 NYC memories on Twitter! (@KrisAllenLists)

Here's what we know is happening today and tomorrow!

August 15: Performance at Empire State Building with Maddie and Caleb Kris was unable to make it (he's under the weather) but we did get video of Maddie and Caleb (inside post).

August 16: The Space at Westbury Theater, Westbury, NY We've got some videos and photos from Ang and some ladies she met at the show! I'll be adding these as I get them after the break.

(I'll put the press stuff and the concert videos after the break.) In the meantime, here's a goodie from 2009 NYC Idol press coverage:

Updated 8/16/2018: Westbury show gave us some videos thanks to Ang! If you are here looking for what was sung, the set list is here.

Idol Tour 2018: August 13 and 14: Kris Allen and the Idols play Albany and Philadelphia

I mixed up this part of the Idol tour schedule; my apologies! It turns out the Idols played Albany on August 13 and will play Philadelphia tonight! Tickets are still available so I've linked that.

August 13: Palace Theatre, Albany, NY - Highlights after the break. Not much.

August 14: Tower Theater, Upper Darby, PA (Philadelphia suburb) - A few videos and photos.

Updated August 16 with some Philly media. On to NYC and NJ! We've got good fans covering those shows! If you are here looking for what was sung, the set list is here.

Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's), and so far the crowds have been lively and showing up early to line up. I've got Kris' expected set list in the post; Will post what I can find for Parachute's set list after the show (since it's changing each time).

The tour continues Tuesday night in New York City. NYC, you're slacking -you're not sold out yet! Get on that! Information for this specific show can be found after the break!

Updated 4/21/2017: NYCers who went got a great show and shared it with the rest of us! Parachute tweeted that the show did indeed become sold out. Full videos, full set list and great photos after the break! So I've awarded "Sold Out" and "Gave Good List"! Thank you Ang, Rana and the rest of NYC!

Private Event: October 14, 2016: NACA Mid-Atlantic Showcase, Buffalo, NY

Fantastic pic by @ACMStudentLife (Allegany College in MD)

Apologies! I was roadtripping in the actualfax Mid-Atlantic to pick up my own college kid yesterday and completely spaced out on the fact Kris was doing the Mid-Atlantic showcase for the National Association of Campus Activities, Mid-Atlantic Regional conference. (By the way, Letting You In makes for fantastic road-tripping music, just saying!)

From the pictures I've seen, looked like it went great! I'll add anything related to this event to this post. (Updated 10/18/2016)

Kris finally, FINALLY, plays another show in New York City - always one of his best towns. However, he hasn't played the Big Apple since October 2014 (an opening act show for Boyce Avenue) and he hasn't done a headlining show there since a surprise show in February 2014! The fans there have begged for his return and this should be a great show.

Updated: Seems like it was quite a successful show! Big crowd, enthusiastic and they've given us tons of media and the set list after the break...

This will be Kris' first show ever in Rochester, New York. Curious to see how this goes! Local radio stations have been promoting the show, and the show has sold out, so that's good. I do have some folks for the list.

Updated: Seemed like a great show based on the Periscope I watched! Elvio Fernandes from the band Daughtry (and a local radio personality) joined Kris on stage for an impromptu reprise of Take It Easy by the Eagles, which they had done earlier on the radio station that day. Set list and media after the break...

After all the Idol finale festivities, Kris returns to the spring tour with a stop at this famous nightclub owned by Daryl Hall of Hall and Oates. If you have watched the most recent episodes of Daryl Hall's VH1/MTV Live show Live from Daryl's House, you have seen this club! I've long had a dream that Kris would get to be on that show (which is awesome by the way); hopefully, he'll get a chance to make a connection with this show that will make that happen.

Aside from all that, it's guitarist Cale's birthday! Happy birthday to Cale!

Updated: Fantastic show! The highlight was how kind Kris and the band were to two fans from abroad who had traveled for the east coast shows. He played one's request and had them both on stage for the end. Videos, set list and other media after the break...

Kris does a show tonight in Utica, NY at the theater of the local community college. Originally advertised as a college show (as you can see from the prices in the flyer), it's turned into a much bigger deal. Yahoo! Yahoo! Screen, which has been livestreaming a concert every night all summer, chose this concert to livestream! So we hope that the people of central New York State will turn out like their fellow citizens in New York City always do!

Kris plays a venue on Long Island tonight. It is convenient to public transportation from what I've heard. Our list is full of good regulars and should be fun!

Some of you saw a tweet from a locked person on the list last night that Cale will not be with the band tonight and Friday. It is for personal reasons and they will not have a sub. Keep a good thought for Cale and his family. Media and set list after the break...

Show and List Preview:
Kris is doing a surprise show tonight at 6:30 PM at a venue he did two great shows at this past May. The show is to partly make up for the fact he had to cancel a show in a more rural part of Connecticut tonight due to Winter Storm Pax (it cracks me up they name winter storms now). There is a blizzard in NYC today. We'll see who can make it! The band did based on a twitter conversation you can see on the list. I do see quite a few regular fans who are already in the city planning to go.

Kris headlines a benefit concert for Give an Hour, a non-profit organization whose "mission is to develop national networks of volunteers capable of responding to both acute and chronic conditions that arise within our society." The organization focuses on "meeting the mental health needs of the troops and families affected by the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan."

List Preview:
We do have some New York list regulars in attendance. One warns that the venue told her no recording, but I'd expect some great tweets and I wouldn't be surprised to get media.

Updated:
They had a great time and of course the Kris Allen fans recorded. I always laugh when they worry they can't. I've never seen a fandom so good at it! Set list/Video link post is here! (Don't miss the videos of Monster but do have smelling salts available.)

Throwback Thursday: May 30, 2010: Darien Lakes, NY

Every Thursday during the slow periods, we take a look back at a video from Kris' past shows and career!

I felt like going back to the KATA era this year, so when I plugged "Kris Allen May 30" into YouTube search, I was very excited to see a bunch of videos from a May 30, 2010 show at an amusement park between Buffalo and Rochester, NY!

I was going to go with Lifetime (not!), but thought I'd see if anyone had any special requests. I also am desperately in search of a picture I recall taken around this period in May 2010 of the band with fresh buzz cuts, so if anyone has that, feel free to link it! You'll see in the video that the band is freshly shorn, and even Torres has his locks trimmed into a long bob.

I got a request for Written All Over My Face, so for @mylifeback, here's WAOMF from Darien Lakes, NY, May 2010! (Warning, video taker danced a little (which I personally love).)
