10 Years 1 Night Tour | Kris Allen opens his fall 2019 tour on October 2 in Cambridge, MA

10 Years 1 Night Tour Poster for Kris Allen 2019 Tour

Kris Allen follows up the release of his album "10" with a fall tour starting on October 2 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and winding up on November 23 in Grand Rapids, MI. You can find ticket links and more information for all shows here.

This post will capture the set list and all the action from the first show.  I'm planning regular highlight posts for the other show, grouped by region.

Updated October 3: The fabulous @ameeliu got the very long (set list (22 songs, including one brand new song) and videos. We've also heard some good banter stories. I notice her videos do include the banter. Kris played acoustic, it's a solo show (no band) and it lasted over two hours. Everything after the break!

Getaway Tour: April 17, 2017: Cambridge, MA (Boston)

Concert with Parachute
April 17, 2017
The Sinclair
Cambridge, MA
8:00 PM EDT

Preview:
Kris is on a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute. Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. Kris has keyboardist Andrew St. Marie in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's), and so far the crowds have been lively and showing up early to line up. I've got Kris' expected set list in the post; Will post what I can find for Parachute's set list after the show (since it's changing each time).

The tour continues on Easter (happy Easter if you celebrate), this Sunday Monday (sorry!) night for a sold out show in Boston's neighboring college town, Cambridge, Massachusetts (home to Harvard). Information for this specific show can be found after the break!

Updated 4/18/2017: You guys never know how relieved I am when Kris plays the east coast. I know when he's back here that we are good for lots of media and full information on the show! And Cambridge came through with confirmed set list, gorgeous pics, tons of videos and a stream! That, my friends, is how a city earns #gavegoodlist!

Mount Ida College Spring Fest Concert

April 12, 2014

Mount Ida College

Newton, MA

11:30 AM EDT

Other Acts: Kat DeLuna, The Well Reds, Cover Drive

Show and List Preview:
This is a college show at a small college near Boston, MA and is part of their annual spring celebration. Although Kris has many fans in the area, to attend this show, they will need to have a Mount Ida college ID or be the guest of someone who attends Mount Ida. In other words, I really would not expect much from this show or list, although I have found some happy student tweets and hopefully they'll live tweet the festivities. Maybe Mount Ida is the new Darton State! Let's hope.

Side note - based on some reports by people who attended the Nashville shows, Cale is not with the band for this as he had a prior commitment.

Pre-Show/Event Press and Publicity:

Just the event website. Kris' street team was specifically asked by the college not to promote the show. It is not posted on his website or Facebook.

Kris is performing on one of the mainstage showcases for a large convention of college activity programmers. This is not a concert for his fans; rather, it's a chance for him to impress college concert promoters and book college shows in order to make new fans. Nonetheless, there will be video taken, so no worries.

2013: The Year in Kris Allen Live Performances (Part One of Two)

Every year, I try to keep a YouTube playlist of Kris' live performances and get it out to my followers as a thank you for following me. I look for a good video of each performance and try to make sure that people who don't normally post video are included as well. This year, with the Out Alive tour, we ended up with a five part playlist (YouTube allows 200 videos per list, and I left some room on each one for missing songs.).

So for those of you who really need to catch up on Kris, you are all set! Before I list the playlists, a few acknowledgments. First and foremost, thank you to every single person who has live tweeted a Kris show, posted pictures and/or posted video. You may not even realize this, but many Kris fans truly appreciated it!

Special shout-outs to @ameeliu15 and @headonfire1105. You'll see their videos a lot. Thank goodness they went to Kris shows and were nice enough to video every song! Also special shout out to @maryet34 who makes invaluable playlists for almost every Kris show. These were super helpful for compiling my lists!

So here's Part One! This part covers the January 2013 shows in the first month of the Out Alive tour (from Killington, VT through Tulsa, OK). I'm sure those who went to a show during this time frame will remember how amazing it was that Kris even was able to perform given his terrible accident at the beginning of the year. I went to the Vienna, VA show in January and remember just feeling grateful that Kris was OK. Highlights here include his performance of Where Are You Amy (dedicated to the citizens of Newtown) in Ridgefield, CT, and awesome covers of Where Doves Cry (Prince), Breakdown (Tom Petty) and Cry Me a River (Justin Timberlake). Since the East Coast loves them some Kris, you will find the Boston, Philadelphia and Vienna videos to be especially popping.

And here's Part Two! This part covers shows from Albuquerque, NM (January 31), all his west coast Out Alive shows, and goes through Aspen, CO (February 20). Yes, there are that many shows and videos! Kris was an enormous trooper considering he was recovering from a serious injury, and he deserves a ton of credit for not letting his fans down and continuing with the tour.Highlights during this playlist include some great requests (Wicked Game (Chris Isaak), Jealous Guy (John Lennon) and High and Dry (Radiohead) are my favorites). Standout shows in this part included San Diego, Agoura Hills, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.

The playlist for Part Three runs from February 21 (Denver) through the Sophia's Heart cruise and on through the first few shows of the spring leg of the Out Alive Tour (through Plymouth, NH, April 25). Highlights here include first performances of Kris' original songs Fighters, Love Too Much and Unique, as well as some great covers of Tighten Up (The Black Keys) and In Your Eyes (Peter Gabriel). Shows that stood out for me included the cruise, Chicago, Ann Arbor and Toronto.

Click here for my second installment, with the rest of the year's playlists and a look back at Kris' stats! In the meantime, please let me know your Kris highlights in the comments, and if you spot any videos I've missed, or corrections to be made, please hit me up and let me know!

Throwback & Flashback Friday! Kris Allen Weekend Dance Party!

I've been slacking a little, but normally on Friday, we flashback to catch up on the Out Alive Tour media, and on Thursday, we throwback to see what Kris did in past years! So this is a catch up post, but it's also a celebration post!

Kris had his third surgery today and reports are that it went very well!

I think a celebration is in order, plus it's Friday! No better time for a Kris Allen Weekend Dance Party!

First, a little Friday flashback to January 19, Charleston, South Carolina for for headonfire1105's video of Seven Nation Army and Shut That Door. Dance Kris dance!

Then let's throwback to the days of Alright With Me dance parties! Here's a great one from June 28, 2010 in Fresno from Danielle Starr.

Do what Kris says, everyone dance!

Flashback Friday! Festival Time!

We've started a new thing to pass the time... Flashback Friday! Every Friday we'll take a look back and check out a video to catch up on the Out Alive Tour. Plus I'll try to give you a bonus video - maybe one that got overlooked or one that is just worth watching again.

For our Out Alive Tour catch up, let's go check out one of the many videos shot by the lovely @ameeliu - just because it's her birthday today and she is one of the most awesome Kris Allen fans out there!

For the bonus video, as you know, Kris is at South by Southwest this week for a showcase tomorrow! I thought it would be great to go back to the last time he played a music festival - that would be the Alive Festival in Ohio, in 2011. So here's another video by @ameeliu - Falling Slowly/With or Without You - that is just stellar from that show.

Enjoy! And be sure to check out the South by Southwest Festival Post with its embedded twitter list - Kris' show is tomorrow night, March 16, 2013!

List: January 9, 2013: Brighton Music Hall, Allston, MA

Brighton Music Hall
Allston, MA (Boston)
7 pm EST

Rachel Taylor, My Silent Bravery and Jillette Johnson opening

Tonight Kris plays his second stop of the Out Alive Tour in Allston, Massachusetts (just outside Boston). As we saw from pictures of last night that were tweeted by our list, his hand is swollen and he needs a better sling, but you have to admire his bravery and dedication in putting on the show at all!

Tonight's list is the biggest one I've got for the January shows (although the other east coast shows are up there and may top it closer to show time). Very good group of tweeters! And starting with yesterday's show, people are hanging out together following the live tweets from the lists in the chat room at littlepawns.com! Last night was a very lively chat, so hope for more tonight!

Set List for January 9, 2013, Brighton Music Hall, Allston, MA
