Appearance: November 10, 2018: Kris Allen performs Live Like We're Dying at the Women That Soar Awards; Mentions New Music Coming Soon

I kind of slept on this one. I thought we wouldn't get anything out of it. Shows what I know!

Kris joined fellow idol Fantasia to perform at a Dallas-based awards show: The Women That Soar awards,  The event was taped for later airing on TV (in March 2019). We know he sang Live Like We're Dying:

(Here's another video from IG of it.)

After the event, Kris was in his feels! And decided to do his first ever live Instagram. I happened to stumble on it and it was fun. He answered questions, gave some props to the fandom and performed his new song Safe Harbor. (Which he officially performed live for the first time the other night in Nashville but we have no video. Lucky Idol Tour VIP attendees actually heard it a few times this summer as he worked it out.) Most important, he announced he's got new music coming soon!

Thank you @SnapCracklyPop for capturing it!

American Idol Live 2018! is visiting Texas this week! (Links to tickets and information.)

July 19: Dallas, Texas (The Verizon Theatre)  - Thank you to Aspen (@SpenReed4) for updating us with some great twitter videos from the whole show! Dallas will earn #gavegoodlist for these!

July 20: San Antonio, TX (The Tobin Center) - We've got a video... c'mon San Antonio fans time to share...!

July 21: McAllen, Texas (McAllen Performing Arts Center) - We've got a video. Hope to see more posted.

Fun fact: Kris has played Dallas a lot, and San Antonio a couple of times (although it's been awhile!), but he's also played McAllen, Texas once before! It's where he gave us this gem from 2011.

Come back after the shows for coverage! Information on the expected set list is here. (Updated 8/16/2018 with some photos from San Antonio that popped up.)

Getaway Tour: April 2, 2017: Dallas, TX

Concert with Parachute
April 2, 2017
Trees
Dallas, TX
Doors 7 pm CDT; Show 8 p CDT
All ages

Preview:
Kris begins a month-long acoustic tour with his good friends in the pop rock band Parachute today. We don't know much about Kris' set, but Parachute, who is fantastic about fan service, is letting their fans vote on their set list. I have heard that Kris will only have one, possibly two band members in tow and he is sharing a bus with Parachute. The venues are smaller than either act filled last tour (apparently they are favorite venues of Parachute's). So expect a smaller, lower-key experience, but I am hoping for some great collaborations as Kris' poppier stuff is very similar to what Parachute does.

Updated 4/4/2017: From tweets and IG posts, seems as though the casual fans in attendance enjoyed. We do have some partial set list information and some IG videos.

More recently, he played Dallas in 2014 on the No Limits Tour, opening for Boyce Avenue. (h/t @sojournerGJO - I had totally forgotten that show!)

Updated: Heard it was a much better crowd and it certainly was a much better live tweet list! Plus Kris returned some favorites from his new album to the set list. Revised set list, plus a ton of videos and media after the break...

Show and List Preview:
Kris returns with the No Limits Tour to play the House of Blues in Dallas. You may recall that he had a pretty epic show at this venue in Fall 2012, which included the first time he played a cover of Garth Brooks "The River." Also, this will be his first show since his new Christmas single, Baby It Ain't Christmas Without You, came out. Hope he will expand the set list to include it!

Updated: Great instavideos posted made you feel like you were there! He did not do the Christmas single though. :( Crowd tweets seem very happy. :) Also, earlier today, he did a five-song acoustic set for KVIL-FM. Set lists and media for both events after the jump...
